

Christian Gutgesell
received his first guitar lessons at the age of 12. He learned guitar and mandolin at the "Mandolinen-Club 1961 Kelkheim eV," where he later worked as a guitar instructor from 1994 to 2009.
From 2014 to 2016 he studied guitar with Prof. Dieter Kreidler and ensemble direction/conducting with Fritz Pilsl at the Federal Academy in Trossingen.
Master classes with renowned professors such as Gerd-Michael Dausend, Alfred Eickholt, Olaf van Gonnissen, Sonja Prunnbauer and Gerhard Reichenbach – as well as with international artists such as Zoltan Katona, Goran Krivokapić and the Kaltchev Guitar Duo – round out his profile.
Today, Christian Gutgesell lives in Hanau and works as a guitar teacher and conductor at several music schools and music societies in the area. He also performs both as a soloist and in various chamber music ensembles, including with his wife Christina Gutgesell in the "Duo Appassionato" ( www.facebook.com/DuoAppassionato ).
