TWO
Speaking of seasons
A musical journey through the centuries

Lena Meyer (pianist) studied instrumental pedagogy with a major in piano at Dr. Hoch's Conservatory in Frankfurt with Wolfgang Hess and completed her studies with a Master of Music at the University of Music in Mainz with Prof. Vetre.
Master classes with Sylvia Wang, Brigitte Meyer, Prof. Manuel Fischer-Dieskau and the Guarneri Trio Prague, among others, enriched her musical career.
She has performed throughout Germany with various chamber music ensembles. She regularly participates in concerts with the Hessen State Accordion Orchestra. wei – clarinetist Karin Amrhein and pianist Lena Meyer.

Two - these are the clarinettist Karin Amrhein and the pianist Lena Meyer.

With their current program "Apropos Seasons," the duo takes their audience on a journey through music from three centuries with compositions for spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

From Vivaldi to Piazzolla, different styles and eras juxtapose each other, creating an exciting focus on the seasons in music.

Join the musicians in the world of tango with "Spring in Buenos Aires" and linger for a few pieces as the journey continues through the year, perhaps with Schumann's song "In the Beautiful Month of May" or on a summer gondola ride in Venice with Mendelssohn's "Songs Without Words." Listen to the leaves swaying in the wind in Bernhard Ullrich's jazz miniature "October" before diving into the emotional world of Romanticism with Schubert's "Winterreise."

Speaking of travel—where will you spend your next vacation? Perhaps in the dreamy sounds of these works?

Karin Amrhein was born in Miltenberg and studied classical clarinet at the Würzburg University of Music. During her studies, she began giving clarinet lessons to children and adults and can now draw on over 20 years of teaching experience. Both in teaching and as a musician, she moves across musical genres: from Baroque to New Music, from jazz to Klezmer to rock and pop. Over the years, she has expanded her instrumentation to include bass clarinet, tenor, alto, and soprano saxophone, and the flute. These instruments have been used in various musical and theater productions and improvisational dance workshops. She plays the bass clarinet in the ethno-jazz band bandasud, in the clarinet quartet tetrablatt, and performs a solo program that combines a variety of musical influences. As a classical clarinetist, she plays chamber music, church music, and in many orchestras.
